Jordan Almonds A Wedding Tradition

I expect that I will write many more wedding favor posts in the future. But today I want to start with you a wedding tradition, Jordan almonds. Those wonderful pastel colored candy coated treats that are oh so perfect for your wedding favors.  A treat for your guests to enjoy or take home for later.

Almonds have a bittersweet taste and it is said they represents life. The candy coating is added with the hope that the newlyweds' life will be more sweet than bitter. I love this!

Five sugared almonds for each guest to eat
To remind us that life is both bitter and sweet.
Five wishes for the new husband and wife --
Health, wealth, happiness, children, and a long life!
 ( jordan almonds saying)

Jordan almonds can be a lovely decoration too. Fill a glass with colorful tissues  add a flower and taa daa! Fill candle holders or wine glasses too.

Try putting them in a little bead box, add a pretty bit of ribbon and a few embellishments and it's a lovely wedding ( or party) favor.

Or stay with the traditional bag or box filled with yummy treats.  No matter how you share them, they are a wonderful and traditional wedding favor.

Will you use Jordan almonds as your wedding or party favor? Do you like the bride makeup bag? It's available at my shop ( wink)

Lindsey and Peter A Wedding In Maui

It's Feature Friday where inspiration is abundant!
Today's featured photographer is the very talented Anna Kim of Anna Kim Photography. She is sharing the beautiful wedding of Lindsey and Peter who were married at the Grand Wailea in Maui. Anna spent three wonderful days photographing their love and their celebration.

When Lindsey was just a little girl, her Father and Step-Mother visited Maui. They visited the Grand Wailea in Maui and her Father recorded the chapel there and mentioned that one day Lindsey should get married there. Little did he realize ......

Fast-forward several years, to the night when Peter and Lindsey met. According to Peter, she pushed one of her friends into Peter so that she could strike up a conversation with him. Apparently her strategy worked, because they hit it off and have been together ever since. Her Fathers wishes came true when they were married in  the beautiful little chapel by the sea.

Anna said "I must say, I feel so lucky to have the best clients!".
Nearly time now...

Soon I will be his wife...

I do, I do, I do...

Wedding Invitations

Your wedding invitation is the first impression your guests will see of your big day! No matter your theme,or setting. Or if you wedding is going to be casual or elegant. The invitations are a big decision. They are a keepsake, not just for you. But for your invited guests as well. They also are a direct representation of the "feel or theme" of your wedding. A formal font relays a formal event A casual font, dictates a more casual event, etc. Selecting the font for the invitations may seem like a simple thing. But there are hundreds of different font styles! I thought I would help by providing you with samples of the top five font styles I found through my research.  I hope you find this helpful.
Will you use one of these or some other? Which of these do you prefer.
